35mm KEVLAR GRAPHITE MOVIE CAMERA
The camera has been developed from an Arri IIc mechanism. The extensive use of graphite and Kevlar fibers gives tremendous strength and stiffness. The film gate depth is more stable than with other metal housings. Film steadiness has been increased: the pin has been rebuilt from a solid piece of bakelite like the Arri 3 camera and a registration pin has been added. Custom made electronics drive a crystal sync motor control via a pid closed loop. The speed is keyboard selectable between 5 to 50 fps +/-0,01.
. A 16x2 LCD displays the input voltage, the selected speed and the film in feet and meters via a serial protocol that can be transmitted to ground. The electronic sounds an alarm beep and stops the camera when the actual film speed does not matches the selected one. The mirror stops in viewing position. The lens Mount is PL/PV interchangeable. We can custom build a camera for your needs.
