RC INDOOR OUTDOOR TV BLIMP CAMERAS
The design of our Blimps permits movement in any axis, instantly, without turning or affecting the camera such as exists in common dirigibles. No fins or rotating motors are used in order to maintain a steady camera orientation and unwanted panning. Indoor blimp demo video
Our camera blimps have been developed for close range aerial shooting and replace other rigs, such as cranes, giving you greater versatility and avoiding limits to the director's imagination. Consider a title sequence flying over a crowd and ending 6 feet under a ceiling, or a tethered blimp that will start from the face of your actor ending 5000 feet in the sky. Our RC dirigibles can freely move around without compromising any safety measures. They are CE certified and filled with helium, a non flammable gas. Air conditioning does not affect the indoor version
The RC live TV show blimp camera version of the Flying-Eye has been used on more than 700 live TV shows in Europe. Outdoor blimp demo video. A self orienting helical antenna system was developed to avoid glitches. A 5x5 foot space is all that is required for camera operation. This provides enough room for the operator, video antenna and to recover the blimp for changing batteries and maintenance. Iris control can be adjusted in flight from your engineering room along with the other cameras. Outdoors, when the wind exceeds 6 mph, the blimp can be tethered on a radio controlled winch and manipulated by the camera operator. The version with a recording camera onboard has flown in all major Italian monuments including the Coliseum, St. Peter’s Basilica, The Sistine Chapel, The Uffizi, the Pantheon, the Doom of Orvieto and many others.
The pilot controls the airship from a portable radio unit. From a different console, the camera operator moves the the remote head that allows the camera to pan independently from the blimp. Roll axis is available on request.
