RPV Helicopter

A raw design, low cost feasibility study.

CUSTOMER REQUEST: Electric Helicopter with brushless motor - 400 grams minimum Payload - 25 min. flying time - maximum stability in gusty wind - lowest number of parts involved to minimize conversion costs to fit Mil specs - minimum noise - delivery time 3 months.

This is the intermediate step: a LOGO 10 modified mechanic and a custom made 4 bl rotor head

OUR DELIVERY: 500 gr. payload @ 340 watts - 3 kg @ 620 watts. A lighter definitive structure will compensate the weight of the fuselage cover. The 45 min flight duration battery is not included in payload. Cheap and weak servos have been used on the rotor head to test the kickback on the linkages.

No mechanical links between the tail and the main rotor. The fuselage length can be adjusted to install different blades for different payloads and flying profiles. The rotor "floating" head allows the four blades to remain on the same plane when controls are applied to minimize noise and drag in fast forward flight. The main body may be reversed for balancing.
